Public Update on the state of the Warden

For those who don't yet know...my dad went to the hospital again yesterday. Third time in...about as many years, and the second time in about six to eight months. This time, it was an infection in his leg...the same kind that resulted in his amputation back in '04.

For those of you to whom this is old news, lol...here's some new news.

Dad saw his podiatrist today. Lanced the blister on his foot and looked things over...from his lips to Dad's ears: we caught it in time. Doc was also by and reiterated that Dad's not gonna be losing any more limbs.

And for the record, it's been kinda crazy, so I haven't answered all the comments...but you, my f-list, I love and adore with all my being. I think I really wouldn't have gotten through the last 24 hours...fuck it, the last *week* without the support I've been recieving from all sides. Whoever said the only people you meet on the net are freaks and weirdos was right...*hugs and cuddles her own group of freaks and weirdos* Words do not exist to express just how much you all mean to me.

*pout* And someone in the Brain Trust needs to move out to El Lay and hug me, goddamnit. artemis1701, _crow_chick_, rogueapprentice, writergal101, this means *YOU!* ;p

So now, after all this stress and stuff...and right after the holidays, no less...I need to relax. So here I sit, eating my Carl's Jr. Breakfast Burger, and opening my email to find an in-store Barnes & Noble coupon. Someone's goin' *shopping* tonight, kids.

And I think I need to write some fic...some crack!fic. Yeah, that's it...but I can't write crack!fic. Hmph. Someone give me a plot bunny on crack. This place needs a few laughs. I promise, I won't hurt it...unless it asks me to. *nodnodnod*

I did want to travel this summer....and I do have a family friend teaching at UC Davis, so I could use the excuse of a big two-for-one trip.....and Christine needs some road time, sooo....
